Shannon Moore Signs With WWE, Gone From TNA Credit: Michael Shalik on Mar 17, 2006
Earlier this week it was reported that the "Prince of Punk" Shannon Moore had jumped ship from TNA and was returning to WWE. Then, it was clarified that Moore, who had been working in TNA without a contract, had NOT yet signed with WWE - and that he was reviewing contract offers from both companies.
Today, we have official confirmation that upon review of the contracts from both WWE and TNA - Shannon chose WWE. WWE's official website has a headline that reads "Shannon's Back!", along with an interview with the returning superstar (there is a link to the Full Interview at the bottom of this news story).
He gives his reaction to WWE being interested in him despite his working relationship with "the other company", how he felt when WWE originally released him in 2005, his future goals in the industry and more.
It is alos interesting to note, when he talks about what he's been doing the last nine months, he says he was working on the independent circuit, Japan and "down south."
Moore is expected to be paired up with longtime friend and fellow North Carolina native Matt Hardy as a tag team on the Smackdown roster.
The Prince of Punk's superstar profile has been removed from the official TNA website.
